As many as 2,553 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 12,770 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 2,553 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Nine one out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 482,842 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 107 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (30 physicians, 50 medical assistants, 27 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,820 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 230 are in extremely serious condition and 38 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 21,264 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,024 are under supervision at home.

Another 4,677 people have been treated. As many as 433,664 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 31 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,924 people have died of coronavirus in all.
