Former head of SPPS to be investigated for exceeding duties

Chisinau, 14 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office announced today that it has sent to court the criminal case on accusing former director of the State Protection and Guard Service for committing the crime of exceeding his duties.
The former director of the State Protection and Guard Service having the quality of a person with a position of public dignity, clearly exceeding the special requirements imposed by law, as director, concluded contracts with an economic agent, through who purchased badges of corporate affiliation of the officer in civilian clothes and badges with individual identification number of the protection officer, which do not correspond to the heraldic norms.
Consequently, the targeted badges, purchased by the former director of the State Protection and Guard Service, were taken out of use, causing damage to the SPPS budget worth 190,772 lei.
