Chisinau, 14 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- The Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health (CNESP) met today in a meeting. Following the assessment of the current epidemiological situation, new decisions have been approved, taking into account a slight decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases at national level in the last week, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
CNESP members have decided that, starting with February 16, they will return to differentiated protection measures, depending on the alert threshold in each locality, established based on the incidence rate, being abrogated the Decision of January 20, which established measures valid on the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova.
Thus, the general rule on the presentation of the COVID-19 Certificate will no longer be applicable upon entry into commercial or service premises, and it will be necessary - depending on the alert threshold - only to access certain specific locations such as catering establishments, which host private or sporting events, cultural institutions or scientific meetings. (The full list can be accessed in annex No2 of Decision No62 of CNESP of 22.09.2022, with subsequent amendments).
However, the measure adopted on January 20 will be maintained, which allows access to medical institutions and foster care facilities for accompanying children up to 14 years of age and carers of people with severe and severe disabilities.
The green and yellow alert thresholds will be allowed to return to normal working mode, while the remote work measures, respectively the differentiated schedule, remain in the orange and red thresholds.
In the red threshold, technical and higher vocational education institutions will operate online, except for practical hours involving the use of technical equipment / laboratories, but not more than 10% of teaching activities per study program. Given the specifics of the field, the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu will operate in a mixed regime.
The cessation of private events (weddings, baptisms, memorial meals, festive meals) remains in force only in the red alert threshold. At the same time, the activities in the recreational areas and amusement parks, as well as the conferences and scientific meetings in physical format remain suspended in the red code.
Instead, the catering establishments will be able to return to normal working hours, subject to the limits of persons set out in that Annex, regardless of the alert threshold.
In order to return to the differentiated public health measures, according to the predictable framework adopted last year, the Extraordinary Territorial Public Health Commissions, within 24 hours from the entry into force of the Decision, will convene and establish the public health measures for each locality of the administrative-territorial unit under management, in accordance with the alert threshold established by the National Agency for Public Health on February 14, 2022.
