As many as 1,720 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,288 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,720 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 10 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 487,283 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 65 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (18 physicians, 26 medical assistants, 21 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,326 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 152 are in extremely serious condition and 22 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 18,905 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 17,962 are under supervision at home.

Another 3,572 people have been treated. As many as 444,553 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 20 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,982 people have died of coronavirus in all.
