Some of notary services might be digitalized in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Justice Ministry today organized a working meeting. The participants in the event discussed the benefits, as well as the risks which might appear in the process of digitalization of aspects of the notary activity.
According to the quoted source, representatives of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister, Electronic Governance Agency, Notary Chamber, Public Services Agency, juridical commission for rules and immunities, as well as of the academic environment took part in the discussions.
In the context, the state secretary at the Justice Ministry, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, informed that more draft normative acts had been worked out, proposing to digitalize the notary activity through the light of excluding the need to authenticate certain types of legal acts under the pretext of removing certain constraints for the business environment, electronic signing of the notary acts.
At the same time, the state secretary reiterated that it was important that the public authorities synchronize their efforts and a common position on this subject is adopted. Also, the official informed that a working group had been set up at the Justice Ministry, which deals with the elaboration and promotion of the mechanism of electronic authentication of acts, which will simplify and optimize the work of notaries, as well as regarding the notary taxes.
