Several forestry companies committed irregularities in forest resource management

Chisinau, 16 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Moldsilva Agency has initiated inspections in the national forest fund - public property of the state, managed by subordinate forestry entities. The checks carried out jointly with representatives of the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection have established several cases of irresponsible attitude in forest resources management, according to a press release of the institution.

Thus, in some territorial forestry entities, the decrease of the volume of wood intended for harvesting through the cutting of main products has been established. These are the Forestry Enterprise HÂNCEȘTI-SILVA - with 3,234 cubic meters, SOROCA - with 807 m3 and IARGARA - with 1,176 m3. 

Within these entities, the illegal actions committed by the forest service personnel regarding the exercise of their duties are multilaterally examined and several service investigations are initiated in order to be held accountable.

At the same time, starting with February 14, similar verifications are initiated at the Calarasi Forestry Enterprise. The final results of these checks will be made public, including sanctions imposed on persons who have committed illegalities in the service.
