Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with Ambassador of Sweden

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has met Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova  Katarina Fried. The Swedish diplomat congratulated the Moldovan deputy PM on the taking over of the mandate of chief negotiator on behalf of Chisinau in the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

At the meeting, Oleg Serebrian unveiled Chisinau’s priority actions in the promotion of the policies of Moldova’s reintegration and in the current formats of negotiations, the calendar of the events planned for the next period, the Moldovan authorities’ positions and intentions in the management of the most important problems on the agenda of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue.  

The officials reviewed and expressed openness for deepening the cooperation on diverse programmes of assistance provided to Moldova by Sweden and which regard the promotion of confidence building measures, strengthening the capacities of observance of human rights in the Transnistrian region, support of small- and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the starting and developing of businesses according to the European standards, implementation of the agenda, Women, Peace and Security, etc.
