Moldova to liberalize visa regime with Qatar

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan citizens will be able to travel to the State of Qatar without visas. The cabinet of ministers today approved the signing of the agreement between Moldova and Qatar on the abolition of short stay visas for the holders of ordinary passports, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Under the document, the holders of a valid passport can enter the territory of the other state for a period of 90 days during 180 days, if they travel on purpose of business (job), tourism and transit. If the period of stay on the territory of another state is to be longer than 90 days during 180 days, a long-stay visa will be needed to be got.
The new conditions will contribute to the development of the cooperation and friendship relations between the two states, through facilitating travels for citizens. Also, the elimination of the visa regime and the increase in the flow of passengers will boost the cooperation in the fields of mutual interest, the bilateral commercial exchanges and will facilitate the travels on tourist purpose.
