MPs made amendments to Labor Code, Education Code

Chisinau, 17 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- A draft amendment to the Labor Code and the Education Code, which provides an opportunity for parents with young children to return to work earlier, was approved today in the first reading by the Legislature.

The document provides for the inclusion of rules governing the right of employers to provide their employees with alternative childcare services, up to 3 years of age, in addition to those provided by the state. The expenses related to these services will be provided by the employers, from their own means.

At today's meeting, several elected representatives of the people came with their children. The situation has been criticized by the opposition on the grounds that the country still faces a large number of COVID-19 infections.
