New centre of informal education's validation launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - A new validation centre has been launched at the Centre of Excellence in Energy Sector and Electronics from Chisinau. The centre’s work will be focused on the implementation of programmes on certification of competences got in non-formal and informal contests.
The centre will deal with the certification of competences of people who work in the electric energy sector. The project is carried out in the context of the energy crisis and in order to promote the consumption of renewable energy, green energy, when more and more companies for assembling solar batteries need qualified workers.
"The need and importance of extending the possibilities for recognizing the knowledge and competences got in contexts of non-formal and informal education in the electric energy sector come from the high demand of specialists in the energy field, such as: mounters of solar and photovoltaic panels, electricians, operators at post office, etc.,’’ the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) said.
According to MEC, state and private enterprises ask for the certification of employees, in order to ensure the quality of services, advance in the professional career and opportunity to get a higher salary.
The Centre of Excellence in Energy Sector and Electronics fits into the list of the nine validation centres recently launched and will imply the most important actors in the field, in order to certify the professional competences of the citizens from the country and those who returned from abroad, who gained a rich experience at the working place in the electric energy sector.
The validation of the professional competences has become possible due to the support of Switzerland within the Migration and Local Development project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the International Organization for Migration, Mission in Moldova.
