Switzerland to support Education Ministry's project in vocational education

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - The memorandum of understanding between the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation on the phase I of the project titled, We create value for others: vocational education institutions provide relevant professional competences, (CREATIVO) today was signed by competent minister Anatolie Topala and the director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova, Caroline Tissot.
The memorandum will provide the needed legal framework for the implementation of the CREATIVO project, the goal of which is that young people and adults from Moldova enhance their perspectives of employment on the labour market based on the relevant training programmes, developed at vocational education institutions.
The project will contribute to the strengthening of the capacities of the vocational education institutions, so that they efficiently provide courses elaborated in partnership with and for companies from the private sector.
„Another goal is the improvement of the economic and entrepreneurial activities at the level of the vocational education institutions, so that pupils get relevant professional competences and the institutions generate incomes,’’ the Education Ministry said.
The project’s implementation is financially backed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) foundation and the Centre for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support from Moldova.
The Memorandum of Understanding enters into force on the date of its signing and will finish on 30 November 2023. The treaty will remain valid till both Sides fulfill all commitments taken.
