Fabrication, circulation of ethyl alcohol to be strictly regulated in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today approved, in the first reading, amendments to the normative framework in the field of fabrication and circulation of alcoholic products.  

Thus, one of the principal provisions of the draft is the introduction of basic notions, among which the ‘’slight alcoholic drink’’ and ‘’drink with low content of alcohol.’’ The draft’s authors say that this change is necessary, as at present, these categories of products, which are consumed especially by young people, are not regulated in the national legislation.

Another amendment proposed is to include the compulsoriness of presenting the declaration of fabrication and circulation, which will contain data for each category of product about the stock in the beginning of the year, the production, commercialization and stock at the end of the year. This data will be used for working out forecasts of development of the sectors.

The draft law also sees excluding the compulsoriness of the stopper with dispersion when bottling strong alcoholic drinks.
