Cimişlia district signed cooperation agreement with Iaşi county, Romania

Chisinau, 18 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Cooperation agreement between Iași County Council, Romania, and Cimișlia District Council, Republic of Moldova, was signed yesterday during a visit to the south of the country by a delegation from Iasi, led by county head Costel Alexe.
The signatory parties expressed their conviction that "they will develop multilateral cooperation relations and will strengthen the cooperation relationship between the two administrative-territorial units".
The twin entities addressed some main topics regarding the actions and new projects concerning the social, economic, educational, cultural fields, "which will be able to be realized, from now on together, for the benefit and development of both parties".
"Regardless of the border, we are in the same house. When there is friendship, we can also develop bilateral relations in different fields. The Cimișlia district council is very interested in the cooperation relations with Romania. It is extremely important that we maintain and develop our relationship of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation, identifying together the best ideas and projects for the benefit of our communities. We really appreciate the help provided by Romania ", said Mihail Olărescu, the president of Cimișlia district.
In his turn, Costel Alexe underlined that in Iaşi "there is a lot of attachment to the relations with the Republic of Moldova, because we share the same culture, traditions". "It is a goal to reduce borders and invest in different directions of social, educational, cultural development in order to enjoy the same future together. We are committed to supporting the projects and relationships of this partnership. In the name of our communities, we will do everything that is best for those who have expectations from us, for a better life ", summed up the president of the Iași County Council.
