Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ - About 143 hectares of dry vegetation have been destroyed by fire in the last 24 years.
According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), in the last 24 hours, firemen intervened in 118 situations of liquidating fires of dry vegetation. Most missions of extinguishing fire were undertaken in settlements from the districts of Anenii Noi, Causeni, Stefan Voda, Cahul, Floresti, Ialoveni and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
In the context, firemen urge residents to observe the anti-fire rules and not set fire to dry grass, bushes or household waste, as the fires can spread quickly on large areas in conditions of wind and low humidity.
