Market built in Taraclia serving villages from two districts

Chisinau, 21 February / MOLDPRES /- Ten localities in Causeni and Cimișlia districts will benefit by 2023 from a new agri-food market, built according to European standards, the regional press has reported.
The square is 80% finished, being built in the village of Taraclia, Causeni, border town between the two districts. Starting next year, the locals will have a space of about one thousand square meters, equipped with the necessary equipment for commercial activity.
The market value is estimated at 13 million lei, offered to Taraclia City Hall through the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Of this amount, 550 thousand lei is the contribution of two local economic agents. Five million lei have already been capitalized, and the other amount is to be allocated this year. In 2022, engineering, landscaping and landscaping works will be carried out here.
According to local authorities, the Taraclia market will be a good opportunity for locals to sell their own products, in optimal conditions.
The collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and IFAD started in 1999. So far, the fund has supported in our country several projects and a program, the beneficiaries of which are over 130 thousand people. In our country, IFAD assistance aims to improve the income and living conditions of people in rural areas. The activities are aimed at smallholders, farmers, small-scale animal producers, rural women, young people from different parts of the country, etc.
