Cold returns to most regions of Moldova in last week of winter

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The last week of the winter will be characterized by a slight decrease in the air temperatures. The latter will not be higher than +10-+12 Celsius degrees during the day.

According to meteorologists, on 22 February, the weather is expected to be slightly warmer; yet, as of 23 February, the air temperatures will oscillate between +8 and +10 degrees during the day; the weather will traditionally be cooler in the northern region.

Also on 22 February, slight rains are forecast in northern and southern Moldova. Variable cloud, periodically sunny intervals are expected in the rest of the regions on the concerned period.

The night-time frost will return on the last week of February, with the air temperatures dropping to -5 degrees in places.

The State Hydrometeorological (SHS) said these tendencies would maintain will 28 February.
