Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with U.S. Ambassador

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today had a meeting with new Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Kent D. Logsdon, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

Oleg Serebrian reviewed the present situation in the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue and the current priorities in the promotion of the country’s reintegration policies. He noted the Moldovan authorities’ full openness to identify viable solutions to the foremost problems of the citizens from both banks of Dniester and to maintain a constructive dynamic within all the present formats of dialogue.

The officials discussed the current situation in Moldova and in the region, as well as the need to further enhance diverse dimensions of cooperation between the two countries.

The deputy PM thanked the United States for the support provided for the consolidation of the democratic processes in Moldova, for the backing provided in the carrying out of the projects on regional development and modernization of Moldova.
