Annual financial compensations for teachers, management of general education institutions increased

Chisinau, Feb. 23 / MOLDPRES /- Teachers and management in general education institutions will receive increased compensation starting in 2022. The government today approved an increase in the amount of compensation from 2,000 lei to 4,000 lei for a year of study.

According to the government's communication and protocol department, the compensations for the teaching staff are provided for the purchase of teaching aids (dictionaries, chrestomathy, specialized magazines, teaching aids, artistic literature); computer technology (computer / laptop / tablet, PC components, PC peripherals, PC software), software products, computer consumables, Internet services and office products.

Compensation will be granted for all teachers working in general public education, including for teaching staff.

Increasing the amount of compensation from 2000 lei to 4000 lei is a commitment of the Government, assumed in the Government Program, for this purpose being provided about 172 million lei. More than 43,000 full-time and senior teachers will benefit from these compensations.

The project was developed by the Ministry of Education and Research and aims to support continuing vocational training and ensure the quality of the teaching-learning-assessment process, as well as the effective implementation of ICT in education, the development of digital skills of teachers, etc.
