Agreement for recognition of study documents between Moldova, Italy signed in Chisinau

Chisinau, Feb. 23 / MOLDPRES /- An agreement on recognition of studies between the Republic of Moldova and Italy was signed today in Chisinau by Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topala and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Benedetto Della Vedova.

Immediately after the signing of the agreement, the Italian official and Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova held a press conference.

The Moldovan official thanked Italy for support in cooperation with the EU. "This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Italy, a very good time to strengthen bilateral cooperation for the future. Italy has always been a supporter of the European aspirations of the Republic of Moldova and we feel this support, including in the Moldova-EU cooperation agenda ", said Popescu.

The Deputy Prime Minister specified that topics related to the economic field, as well as roaming tariffs, were also discussed today. He mentioned that the finalization of the process of ratification of the Social Protection Agreement was also discussed and the decision was taken to examine the possibility of twinning some localities in the Republic of Moldova with those in Italy.

Benedetto Della Vedova reiterated the support of the Italian authorities for the reform process started by Chisinau and mentioned that the process of bilateral cooperation must move forward.
