Chisinau city hall official asks to increase sums meant for children's nourishment in kindergartens

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - The price for the daily nourishment of a child who goes to kindergarten should increase up to 45 lei.

The deputy head of the education, youth and sport department of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Andrei Pavaloi, said that, given that the price for food products grew, the cost of the daily nourishment of one child attending an early education institution should increase, for its part, too.

”According to calculations made by our experts, the costs for the necessary coverage of the food of one child reached 45 lei at this point. An increase by ten lei is recorded. The sum for children’s nourishment certainly needs to be increased, as the prices for food products have grown by more times,’’ Andrei Pavaloi noted.

Presently, the early education institutions spend about 35 lei per day for the nourishment of one child. As many as 126 early education institutions work in the Chisinau city.
