Two Moldovan masters photographers get medals at contest in Japan

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - Masters photographers Iurie Foca and Anatol Poiata have recently got medals at an international contest in Japan.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Iurie Foca said this was one of the oldest and most prestigious photographic contests in the world, with a history of 82 years, organized by the Association of Societies of Photographic Art from Japan - Asahi Photo Contest. ‘’Traditionally, the jury for 55 works from abroad and 45 from Japan, no matter the number of works participating in the contest. For the 82nd issue (2022) in the international section, 5,659 photos from 52 countries. Thus, distinctions were provided to less than 1 per cent of the works,’’ Iurie Foca said.
