Joint Control Commission holds weekly meeting in Bender

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s delegation moved to Bender on 24 February, where they held the weekly meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Chisinau’s representatives reiterated the arguments for including on the agenda of the subject on regulating the work of the quick reaction groups of the military contingents of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces with the removal of their trainings from the perimeter of the Security Zone.
Tiraspol’s representatives opposed this. An oral decision was taken to discuss this issue at the Joint Military Command and the results should be presented to the Commission in a week.
Among the organizational subjects tackled, the sides highlighted the confirmation of Alexandr Andreev as co-head of the Joint Control Commission on behalf of Russia.
The commission approved the report of the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone for the period 16-22 February 2022.
In the context of the latest events in the region, the sides found out the non-involvement of their military contingents from the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in non-coordinated measures, as the situation in the Security Zone is under permanent monitoring.
