Moldovan president has discussion with European Commission President

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - The military aggression from Ukraine and its impact on Moldova and the countries of the region was the main subject of a discussion between President Maia Sandu and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen today evening, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state talked with the European official the measures undertaken by the authorities to ensure the security of Moldova’s citizens, as well as to manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine, who came to Moldova. Ursula von der Leyen gave assurances that the European Union would remain with Moldova, including by providing assistance for combating the consequences of this crisis on the country.
