Chisinau, Feb. 25 / MOLDPRES /- In the last 24 hours, over 16,000 Ukrainians have entered the Republic of Moldova and even if the flow of people increases, we will receive all those who ask for our help. The statements were made today during a briefing by President Maia Sandu.
The president urged the people to calm down and thanked them for the solidarity they show in accommodating Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war.
"We must stand in solidarity with the Ukrainians today. In the last 24 hours, more than 16,000 Ukrainian citizens have entered Moldova. Many of those who arrived came to relatives and friends. Yet state institutions are ready to help those who have no one in our country. We will receive all those who need help ", said Sandu.
The head of state thanked the border workers for the effort and urged the state institutions, local and central authorities, but also the business community to mobilize to help the refugees from the neighboring country.
