Moldovan foreign affairs minister participates in Extraordinary Meeting of OSCE Permanent Council

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today participated in an Extraordinary Meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, held at the ministerial level, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„Along with the international community, we condemn the act of war launched by Russia against the neighbour country, which represents an attack not only against Ukraine, but also a violation of the international law,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
In his speech, the foreign affairs minister reconfirmed the firm and unflinching support of Moldova for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its recognized borders.
At the same time, the Moldovan official informed about the latest decisions and actions of the authorities on the establishment of the emergency state and mobilizing efforts, in order to manage the enhanced flow of refugees, demanding the partners’ support for the management of this situation.
