Moldovan electoral body temporary suspends access to part of its information sources

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has temporarily suspended the public’s access to some information sources of the institution.
The central electoral authority informed that it had adopted this decision unanimously for a good risks’ management and in order to ensure the integrity and security of the information sources managed by the Central Electoral Commission.
The decision was adopted, in the context of the declaring by Moldova’s parliament of the emergency state, given the situation as to the regional security and the danger to the national security.
In this respect, to protect the information systems managed by CEC and avoid potential security incidents, citizens’ access to some modules of the State Automated Information System (SIAS) Alegeri (Elections), including the application Anticamera on-line and SSI Financial Control.
