Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - The list of socially important products, for which the trade markup is limited, has been extended. The decision was announced following a meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) today.
The list was extended with such products as: pork on bone, fowl, congealed fish, sugar beet, pastes, fresh eggs, potatoes, onions, white cabbage, carrots and red beet.
The Economics Ministry said that it had already informed traders about the changes made. ‘’Representatives of the commercial changes expressed their receptiveness and the government will consider proposals of easing the supply chain. At the same time, the traders gave assurances that there were enough stock of products in shops and increases of acquisitions from other countries or local suppliers are seen for some categories of products imported from Ukraine,’’ reads the press release issued by the Economics Ministry (ME).
Thus, at the sale of socially important products, legal entities and private people who practice entrepreneurial activity are obliged to show in the document the purchasing price/delivery price.
The ME noted that the socially important products were sold at purchasing/delivery prices with the application of the trade markup which does not exceed 20 per cent, except for the bread and fancy breads, for which the trade markup applied will not exceed 10 per cent. The socially important products, both imported and native ones, subjected to processing in commercial units, are sold with the application of the trade markup which does not exceed 40 per cent cumulatively from the purchasing price /delivery price.
