Several localities in Moldova to benefit from drinking water

Chisinau, March 2 / MOLDPRES /- The Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration today approved the signing of the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group, in order to carry out the project Security of Water Supply and Sanitation in Moldova.

The project aims to increase access to water supply and sanitation services and strengthen local and national institutional capacity to provide these types of services. In this regard, our country is to contract a loan of 44.1 million euros from the FDA and a grant of 1.55 million euros from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

Thus, the water supply services in Cahul, Vulcănești and Râșcani districts will be extended and improved. Also, in Soroca and Comrat, the wastewater treatment infrastructure will be modernized.
