Optic correction, visual help assistance devices to be provided to pwople with severe disabilities for free in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - People with severe, pronounced and medium sight disabilities will receive optic correction and visual help assistance devices free of charge. A decision to this end was approved by the cabinet today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, based on the medical prescription by the physician ophthalmologist, magnifying glasses, Braille writing equipment, spectacles, white sticks and other devices will be provided. They will be issued by the Republican Experimental Centre of Prosthesis, Orthopedy and Rehabilitation (CREPOR).
The cost for the project’s implementation is about 2 million lei annually. The sums will be proposed for inclusion in the rectification of the state budget for 2022.
