As many as 617 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,948 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 617 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 504,307 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 14 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 4 medical assistants, 7 auxiliary staff).

As many as 697 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 69 are in extremely serious condition and 11 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 6,343 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,431 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,277 people have been treated. As many as 481,585 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,269 people have died of coronavirus in all.
