Commemorative exhibition of scenic art by Irina Press inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, March 4 / MOLDPRES /- A commemorative exhibition of scenic art with the title "Irina Press - the enigma of the theater" of the late Irina Press, former scenographer and costume designer at the National Opera and Ballet Theater "Maria Biesu", was inaugurated yesterday at the National Museum of Art of Moldova.

Director of the institution, Tudor Zbârnea, mentioned that the exhibition includes 85 works, out of which 44 costume sketches, 14 decoration sketches, 20 costumes and 7 dolls, made by Irina Press.

Curator of the exhibition, the soloist of the National Opera and Ballet Theater, Serghei Pilipețchi, doctor of arts, the curator of the exhibition, stated that Irina Press was a painter-scenographer and designer of European costumes.

The exhibition will be open until April 3.
