As many as 568 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,115 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 568 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 504,875 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 23 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 15 medical assistants, 3 auxiliary staff).

As many as 778 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 91 are in extremely serious condition and 14 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 5,442 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,861 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,607 people have been treated. As many as 483,192 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,285 people have died of coronavirus in all.
