12 million lei accumulated from donations to be used to manage refugee crisis

Chisinau, March 5 / MOLDPRES /- State Chancellery, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and local authorities will receive 12 million lei for managing the refugee crisis. The funds were accumulated until March 4, 2022, in the donation account opened by the Ministry of Finance. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Committee on Emergencies.

According to the government's communication and protocol department, another decision of the Commission concerns the use of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova for the transport flights of foreign nationals and stateless persons to the countries that have confirmed their readiness to take over. Authorization for each flight will be made only with the prior permission of the Civil Aviation Authority.

The Commission has also taken a number of decisions in order to ensure the necessary internal energy resources. Thus, during the state of emergency, it is allowed the introduction on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of petroleum products through two additional border crossing points Giurgiulești-Galați and Sculeni-Sculeni, without taking samples for verification, in case of certificates comply with the technical specifications established by law.

Another decision concerns the granting of an exemption from VAT on Vestmoldtransgaz company for the quantities of natural gas owned by Moldovagaz company withdrawn from the country during the state of emergency and subsequently introduced into the country, in a volume of 14,949,142 m3, in order to store additional volumes in the natural gas transmission networks of Romania, in order to ensure the availability of their subsequent takeover in the Republic of Moldova in order to maintain the stability of the national natural gas transmission system in case of critical situations.

In the context of special measures in the field of justice, applicable for the period of the state of emergency, the Commission has decided to allow lawyers and trainee lawyers to defer payment of monthly social security and compulsory health insurance payments. Deferred payments can be made by submitting an application to the State Tax Service.

At the same time, the Commission reconfirmed the decisions taken in the context of the energy emergency in order to ensure compensation for energy tariffs.
