Moldova urgently needs to mobilize additional international aid to deal with current humanitarian crisis

Chisinau, March 6 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration attended today's meeting of President Maia Sandu with US official Antony Blinken, who is on a working visit to Moldova on his European tour, the MAEIE press service has reported.
"I appreciated the reconfirmation of the US authorities' support for democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the security challenges posed by the war in Ukraine," said Popescu.
The Chisinau official expressed appreciation for the announcement by foreign partners of the joint efforts to manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine.
"Moldova urgently needs to mobilize additional international aid to cover the country's immediate needs generated by the current unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the region," said Popescu.
The officials identified the need to develop, strengthen and strengthen Moldovan-American relations in the Strategic Dialogue, which are designed to contribute to the modernization of our country, support economic development, strengthen democratic institutions, fight corruption, advance justice reform, improve the investment climate, promote digitalization , infrastructure development and strengthening of security and energy resilience of the Republic of Moldova.
