As many as 251 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,711 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 251 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 505,644 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 2 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1 physician, 1 medical assistant).

As many as 462 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 44 are in extremely serious condition and 3 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 4,940 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,761 are under supervision at home.

Another 310 people have been treated. As many as 484,643 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 1 death triggered by COVID-19 and 11,293 people have died of coronavirus in all.
