1,662 Ukrainian citizens applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, March 7 / MOLDPRES /- On 24 February- 7 March, 2,493 foreigners applied for asylum in the Republic of Moldova, of which 1,662 were Ukrainian citizens.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the last 11 days, the territory of the Republic of Moldova was crossed by 402,572 passengers, of which 239,196 on the way in and 163,376 on the way out.

The highest flow of people of Ukrainian origin, on the direction of entry, was recorded at the Palanca, Tudora and Otaci state border crossing points.

In the morning, the Border Police announced the presence of an increased flow in eight state border crossing points: Costești-Stânca, Sculeni-Sculeni, Leușeni-Albița, Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe, Giurgiulești-Reni, Vulcănești - Vinogradovka, Basarab -Serpniovo, Mirnoe-Tabaki.
