Chisinau, March 7 / MOLDPRES /- At today's meeting, the Committee on Emergencies decided to simplify the procedures for importing humanitarian aid for refugees from Ukraine.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the simplified procedure applies only in cases where aid is received by one of the central public authorities, in particular, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Health.
The Customs Service will authorize the import of this type of aid without the prior approval of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the National Agency for Food Safety and the National Agency for Public Health, but also without the application of other economic policy measures.
Another CSE decision aims to streamline the transit of foreign and stateless citizens. The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) has been empowered to organize irregular flights for the transport of refugees from Ukraine.
The CSE members also decided to facilitate the import of veterinary medicines during the state of emergency. The National Agency for Food Safety allows the entry of centrally registered veterinary medicinal products into the country by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Their list is to be coordinated in advance with the National Agency for Food Safety.
