As many as 226 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,961 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 226 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 506,222 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 16 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 8 medical assistants, 5 auxiliary staff employees) ).

As many as 479 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 52 are in extremely serious condition and 3 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 4,351 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 7,766 are under supervision at home.

Another 809 people have been treated. As many as 486,112 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 6 death triggered by COVID-19 and 11,304 people have died of coronavirus in all.
