Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - Eighteen children refugees from Ukraine today watched the play titled, The Elephant’s Child, by Rudyard Kipling, presented by actors of the Licurici Republican Puppet Theatre. The action was possible due to the cooperation between the Culture Ministry, Licurici Republican Puppet Theatre and the Moldovan State University (USM).
”The culture unites, and on this difficult period, it is important that we show solidarity with the Ukrainian nation,’’ reads a USM press release.
The Moldovan State University continues to be with the refugees from the neighbour country. The centres for hosting refugees, created in the block No 6 of the Hostel No 19 and the sports hall from the Gheorghe Asachi Street 62/6, have already sheltered more than 2,000 refugees.
