Chisinau, March 10 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu held a video conference with heads of Moldovan diplomatic missions abroad, in which he referred to the need to mobilize external support for the efficient management of refugee flows arriving in Moldova as a result of the war, the MAEIE press service has reported.
"We also discussed the most effective coordination of joint efforts with foreign partners to relocate refugees to countries that have communicated their willingness to provide assistance in the current humanitarian crisis in the region," said Popescu.
During the discussion, diplomats referred to the need to identify direct budget support to ensure economic resilience, as well as the possibility of redirecting exports, especially of apples, to alternative markets.
"After submitting our application for membership of the European Union, we know very well that we have many homework that we have to do internally in support of the irreversible course in the European space," said Popescu.
