Consumer prices increase by over 18 per cent ion Moldova during one year

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The National Statistics Bureau (BNS) informs that, in the last 12 months, the average consumer prices have grown by 18.25 per cent, including by 23.32 per cent for food products, by 14.92 per cent for non-food products and by 16.97 per cent for the services provided to the residents.
According to statisticians, the average consumer prices increased by 2.07 per cent in February 2022 against last January. The increase in the average consumer prices was prompted by the growth of the prices for food prices by 2.81 per cent, for non-food products by 2.17 per cent and for the services provided to the population by 0.88 per cent.
As for the non-food products, more significant prices’ increases were recorded in last February against January 2022: by 8.8 per cent for fuels (including by 9.9 for diesel, by 8.5 per cent for petrol).
The prices for the services provided to residents registered increases of 0.9 per cent in February 2022 against last January.
