Moldovan war veterans to receive 2,500 lei each on behalf of state

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The war veterans who participated in combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, as well as their family members will benefit from a one-off material assistance worth 2,500 lei. The parliament approved a draft law to this end in the first reading today.
The following categories of people will benefit from this aid: the people who participated in combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence; the people who participated in combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence who were included in disability degree in the wake of wounding, contusion, mutilation got during combat actions; the spouses of the survivors of the participants in combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, who died while fulfilling their duty and of the people with disabilities triggered by the war, who died.
Also, the beneficiaries of the one-of assistance could be one of the parents of the participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, who died while fulfilling their duty.
About 2,000 veterans and their family members will benefit from this one-off material assistance.
According to the National Social Insurances House, 26,852 war veterans were registered in 2021.
