Commemorative exhibition by Moldovan fine artist inaugurated at museum from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - A commemorative painting and graphic exhibition by fine artist Vasile Cojocaru was inaugurated at the National Art Museum of Moldova today.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the aforementioned museum, Tudor Zbarnea, said the exhibition comprised 42 works, of which 26 graphic works and 16 painting ones, of the museum’s collection.
Vasile Cojocaru was born in the Baraboi village, Balti county (now Rascani district) on 21 September 1932. In 1969, he became member of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union.
Works by Vasile Cojocaru were distinguished at more international exhibitions, and many of them are found in private collections from Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Spain, USA, Turkey, etc.
Vasile Cojocaru died in Chisinau on 2 January 2012.
The exhibition will be opened till 4 April.
