Chisinau, March 11 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu had a meeting on Thursday with inhabitants of Zberoaia village, Nisporeni district and several nearby localities, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state spoke to the people about the security risks, about how the war in Ukraine affects us, as well as the concrete problems of the communities in which they live. "People want peace, tap water, good roads and warmth in their homes, they want to work and be able to grow their small businesses. People want security and they asked me how quickly we can become part of the EU family, "said Maia Sandu.
According to the head of state, the crises facing our country - the energy crisis, rising prices and, now, the war on our borders - are making our path to prosperity more difficult, but not impossible. Maia Sandu said that the governing team will continue to tidy up public institutions, reform the judiciary, improve the business environment, support the vulnerable, promote mutual respect and cohesion in society. The president urged people to be empathetic and united, especially in difficult times, because that makes us strong.
