Over 13,000 people crossed border of Moldova in past 12 hours

Chisinau, March 11 / MOLDPRES /- In the last 12 hours, border police have registered 13,562 people crossing, of which a higher number - 8,560 on their way out of the country.

According to the Border Police, the most crossings were of foreign nationals - 9,479, and the crossings of Moldovan citizens were 4,083.

The most requested border was with Romania - 11,072 of the total crossings, and 2,271 crossings were reported at the crossing points located at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and 219 crossings at the air border.

With regard to the crossing of the border by the citizens of Ukraine, a total number of 5,401 crossings were recorded, of which 1,865 on the way into the Republic of Moldova and another 3,536 crossings on leaving the country. At the same time, the number of 1,685 were the crossings of Ukrainian minors.
