Moldovan president meets foreign affairs minister of Denmark

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 11 March had meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Denmark Jeppe Kofod, on a working visit to Chisinau, the presidential press service has reported.

The discussion was focused on security developments in Moldova and in the region and regarded also subjects on the bilateral agenda.

President Maia Sandu and Minister Jeppe Kofod reaffirmed their support for Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity and voiced hope for the identification of viable solutions for the reestablishment of peace. In the context, the Danish official appreciated the effort of the authorities and citizens of Moldova to ensure optimal conditions for the hundreds of thousands of refugees who found shelter in the country. As for the bilateral cooperation between the two states, the sides showed openness for such sectors as renewable energy, cyber security or mass media.
