Road signs set for guiding refugees from Ukraine to Moldovan-Romanian border crossing points

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - Twenty road signs, which help citizens of Ukraine reach Moldovan-Romanian border crossing points, were set on national roads of Moldova on 9-11 March, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
A road sign has the dimension of 1 metre x 2 metre, has yellow colour and the text is accessible in the Ukrainian and Russian languages. The road signs show the direction and names of the border crossing points and the distance to them.
Such road signs have been set on national roads from the Moldova-Ukraine border crossing points to the Moldova-Romania ones. The refugees from Ukraine who travel by their own vehicles can easier wind their way to reach the Moldovan-Romanian border checkpoints Cahul, Giurgiulesti, Radauti, Costesti and Sculeni.
The directing of passengers from Ukraine to other border crossing points but the Leuseni one eased the traffic and reduced the queues at the Leuseni-Albita customs checkpoint.
