Chisinau city hall to distribute donations collected from citizens to refugees

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall will distribute all donations collected to the refugees from Ukraine.

At a today’s online meeting of the city hall’s services, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, informed that the city hall would provide a package of first aid products to the Ukrainian refugees. Subsequently, the mayor noted that all donations from the collection point opened by the Chisinau city hall would be distributed to all refugees in need of assistance.     

According to Ceban, the products will be distributed based on the refugees’ identity acts, with making the copy of the passport and its registration. ‘’We have a warehouse where there are donations on behalf of all people interested: clothes, footwear, hygienic products, as well as other objects. We know that, besides the refugees accommodated at placement centres from Chisinau, there are citizens who took refugees at home and the latter need held as well,’’ the official specified.   

The Chisinau mayor also said that representatives of the local authorities elaborated a mechanism of distributing the donations from the collection point of the Chisinau city hall, and the distribution procedure will be launched in the end of  this week.
