Foreign affairs minister of Italy to pay visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu on 14-15 March will receive on visit Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio.

The agenda of the Italian diplomacy head includes meetings with his Moldovan counterpart Nicu Popescu, President Maia Sandu, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. The discussions will be focused on ways of deepening the bilateral relation, in the context of the ample Moldovan-Italian dialogue in the political, commercial and economic sectors. The sides will also tackle subjects on Moldova’s European integration agenda, regional security situation triggered by the war in Ukraine, including the humanitarian crisis and ways of assistance for the Ukrainian refugees.

At the same time, Foreign Affairs Ministers Nicu Popescu and Luigi Di Maio will sign a joint declaration between the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister and Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister of Italy.
