CNESP today took a decision to this effect at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
A string of public health measures were adjusted in the context of the significant cutting in the number of COVID-19 cases. Thus, starting from 16 March this year, the wearing of protection masks will be compulsory only in the public transport, medical and sanitary institutions, placement institutions, retail trade units, commercial centres and drug stores. Specialists in public health recommend, in continuation, that citizens wear masks in all closed public spaces, especially in common use ones and in areas with potential agglomeration. At the same time, to protect themselves from the infection with SARS-CoV-2, people are urged to observe the respiratory hygiene rules and the hands’ hygiene.
The CNESP members also ruled to exclude the compulsoriness of the COVID certificate at the entrance in all closed areas. Also, all private events, such as weddings, Christenings, will be able to be organized without the limiting of the number of guests/spectators, etc. The limitings as to the number of clients in public nourishment units, theatres, movie theatres, show halls, sport/fitness centres or leisure zones disappear as well. The big events in open air, such as the festivals, as well as the sports events, will be able to be held without restrictions as regards the number of spectators.
Another CNESP decision concerns the access to Moldova’s territory. Thus, the entrance of both Moldova’s citizens and foreign ones will be allowed without the presentation of the COVID-19 certificate. All relaxation measures will enter into force starting from 16 March at 24:00.
The authorities monitor, in continuation, the epidemiological situation as to COVID-19 and depending on its evolution, they will adjust the public health measures. It is worth mentioning that the vaccination is the most efficient way of protection against COVID-19.
